Work Week Forecast has Area Surrounded by Advisories, Warnings and Heat

As the mid to upper level ridge builds from the Southwest into the Pacific Northwest, Heat Advisories, Red Flag Warnings, and Air Quality Alerts surround southwestern Oregon and northern California.

Josephine and Jackson Counties, including the Rogue, Applegate, and Illinois Valleys and cities of Grants Pass, Cave Junction, Medford, all remain under a Heat Advisory until late Tuesday evening. Forecasts are for very hot afternoon temperatures between 98 and 103 degrees, with much above normal overnight low temperatures in the mid 60’s to lower 70’s.

The coast will continue to see relatively cool temperatures as mostly to partly cloudy skies and haze from surrounding fires keep afternoon temperatures low. High’s are expected to be in the low 60’s throughout the week, and morning low’s in the upper 40’s to low 50’s.
