Work Week Forecast Clear, Cool and Windy

An arctic ridge of high pressure has established itself off the coast pushing moisture far to the north while ushering in clear cold air to start the work week.

A hard freeze warning is in effect for some interior valleys in southwest Oregon and northwest California, where temperatures are expected to fall into the mid-20s to low 30s.

The coast will not get as cold as the interior, but still may see the coldest night of the season thus far. A frost advisory has been issued for some of the colder, wind protected valleys near the coast.

Exceptionally dry air will continue to push into the area through Monday morning with locally strong northeast winds. These winds will be strongest over the exposed northeast to east-facing ridgetops, with gusts reaching 50 to 60 mph are expected.
