At approximately 9:23pm, Sunday evening, October 13th, a 911 call was received regarding a person that had been shot at a residence located on Spring Creek Road in Bandon and officers from the Bandon Police Department Coos County Sheriff’s deputies, and medical personnel were immediately dispatched.
Upon arrival to the property, officers found 53 year old Thomas John Thoeny, who lived in a 5th wheel trailer located on the property, with an apparent gun shot wound.
He was immediately transported to Bay Area Hospital, where he died as a result of being shot.
Upon investigation, 45 year old Janice Jahnean Green, who resided in a house located on the property and believed to be the sister of Mr. Thoeny, was arrested by Coos County Sheriff’s deputies on a charge of Murder in the Second Degree and taken to the Coos County Jail.
