Light rain is forecast to continue in the region through the beginning of the Holiday week.
The high pressure trough enjoyed at the end of last week has broken down and moved to the east before Sunday evenings showers began. Monday light rain will continue over much of the region as a wet system to the north works its way east.
Wet weather should ease up late Monday, creating a slight pause before the next round of wet weather arrives early Tuesday.
