Late Saturday night May 23rd, just before midnight as Medford Fire crews were clearing from a medical call were dispatched for a vehicle crash with unknown injuries.

Units first to the scene found a single vehicle in the roadway with heavy damage and an approximately 100-yard long debris field. Due to the extent of the damage to the vehicle, firefighters used thermal imaging cameras to search the area for the driver and any victims.


Both lanes of E. McAndrews Dr. were blocked for multiple hours after the truck struck and destroyed an approximately 15″ diameter tree as well as a city light pole before coming to rest on E. McAndrews Dr.

After an extensive search, no patients were found at the scene.
