Late Thursday afternoon, just before 4:30 pm, the Illinois Valley Fire District was dispatched to a single vehicle crash on Hwy. 199 in Kerby.
The southbound vehicle left the road just south of the appliance store’s parking lot. The vehicle, with a driver and one passenger, came to a stop in the dry Holton Creek bed.
Both the driver and the passenger where extricated by Illinois Valley Fire personnel using hydraulic operated tools. They were both transported to Asante Three Rivers Medical Center by American Medical Response.
Traffic control was provided by the Illinois Valley Fire District Civilian Emergency Response Team with help from the Oregon Department of Transportation.
After the patients were transported the scene was turned over to Oregon State Police for investigation.
