According to a press release from the Curry County Public Health Administrator Sherrié Ward, during the reporting period of Tuesday April 13th, through Tuesday April 20th, Curry County Public Health received notification of 21 new confirmed COVID-19 cases.
Under Governor Brown’s framework for assessing the risk posed by the spread of COVID-19, the decrease in COVID-19 cases has moved Curry County from ‘High Risk’ to ‘Moderate Risk’.
This Moderate Risk level will be effective beginning this upcoming Friday, April 23rd. The Governor’s risk assessment matrix will now ease Curry County restrictions on some business and personal activities.
County Public Health encourages everyone to please remember it is important that we all follow the Oregon Health Authority and CDC guidelines and Governor’s directives about social distancing, wearing facial coverings in public buildings and protecting yourselves by staying home if you are ill in order to slow the spread and save lives.
