Umpqua Bank Robbed

On the morning of Monday, May 14th, a male suspect entered Umpqua Bank in Grants Pass and approached one of the bank tellers, informed them it was a robbery and asked for money.

After obtaining money from the teller, the suspect wearing a grey jacket, black hat, sunglasses and yellow rain pants, left the building using the exit facing NE F Street.

The suspect is described as a white adult male between 5’10 and 6 ft. weighing between 170-180 lbs.

Police units responded and began searching for the suspect. Nearby Police Officers located the previously mentioned clothing that had been discarded by the suspect as he fled the area.

No information as to the suspect’s current attire is known at this time. No weapons were used during the course of the robbery, and no injuries were sustained or reported.

The Grants Pass Department of Public Safety is interested in any information the public may have as to the identity of the suspect, or the actions witnessed prior to, during or immediately after the robbery.
