Just after midnight Friday morning, the U.S. Coast Guard Sector North Bend received a call from the F/V Desire with a medical issue with one of the crewmembers.
The vessel proceeded to return to port when it suffered a steering issue. The U.S. Coast Guard Sector North Bend launched the Motor Life Boat Intrepid and safely towed the vessel back to port and handed the crewmember off to awaiting Emergency Medical Services for treatment.
