The U.S. Coast Guard station Chetco River began work to replace or repair buoy marker #9 which is located in the Chetco River channel.

After setting the form in place, a U.S. Coast Guard helicopter then made multiple trips transferring concrete from an on-site Tidewater Contractors cement truck.

The crew worked for approximately 6 hours Tuesday, and dependent on tide and weather, work is expected to continue to completion before early September.
