Just after 1:30 Wednesday afternoon, the Illinois Valley Fire District and American Medical Response responded to a traffic accident on Redwood Hwy. 199.
Unsafe driving was related to the two-vehicle crash that caused significant front-end damage to one vehicle resulting in the second vehicle upside down in a roadside ditch.
Although one of the cars was upside down, remarkably there were no injuries reported. The highway was blocked before the Illinois Valley Fire District and the Civil Emergency Response Team opened up one lane to alternating traffic until the vehicles were removed.
The Oregon State Police cited one car for following too close, the other was cited for driving uninsured.
