At 1:38pm Wednesday afternoon, a 4.5 magnitude earthquake struck just over 180 miles off the Coos Bay coastline. The quake was roughly 10 miles deep and just over 6 miles below the surface.
Another smaller 3.1 magnitude quake struck at 10:04pm Wednesday evening just over 40 miles off the coast slightly south of Eureka at a depth of less than a mile.
Neither of the quakes generated a Tsunami or Tsunami warning.
