Two Oregon Homicide Suspects Arrested in Northern California Traffic Stop

According to information provided by the California Highway Patrol, the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office released a Be-On-The-Lookout broadcast for two homicide suspects out of Oregon, who were believed to be in the area.

Just after 10:00am Thursday morning, December 16th, a California Highway Patrol officer observed one of two vehicles from the Be-On-The-Lookout broadcast, traveling west on state route hwy 299.

The officer began following the white Ford F250, until additional units from the California Highway Patrol and Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies arrived to assist with a high-risk traffic stop.

Once additional units were in place, a traffic stop was initiated and the male suspect, 42 year old Jeremy Lacy, was taken into custody without incident.

While on scene, the second suspect from the Be-On-The-Lookout broadcast, identified as 51 year old Eileen Lacy, drove upon the scene and contacted the officers before she also, was taken into custody without incident.

Both suspects were confirmed to have active arrest warrants out of Oregon for homicide and were subsequently booked into the Humboldt County Jail.
