On Monday, September 10th, Rogue Area Drug Enforcement detectives and Grants Pass Police officers conducted a traffic stop on David Macy in Grants Pass. During the stop, Macy was found to be in possession of nearly a half pound of methamphetamine.
Based on evidence gathered during the investigation, it is believed Macy allegedly planned on selling the methamphetamine for cash. Further follow-up from the stop led to the contact and arrest of Jeremy Shafer at his residence.
The investigation revealed Shafer allegedly possessed the methamphetamine and delivered it to Macy prior to him being stopped by Police.
Both Macy and Shafer were taken into custody and lodged on charges of delivery of methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine, probation violation, and possession of heroin. Additional methamphetamine, heroin and over $20,000 dollars in cash that was directly linked to drug sales were also seized.
