On Thursday morning, May 30th, at approximately 8:30 a.m., Special Agents with the Humboldt County Drug Task Force, with the assistance of the Fortuna Police Department, served a search warrant at a residence located in Fortuna. During their multi-week investigation, agents received information that 22 year old Ryan Jared Michael Fuller and 21 year old Michela Raeann-Rose Yates were involved in the illegal sales of prescription narcotics.
According to a Humboldt County Drug Task Force press release, upon entering the residence, agents detained Fuller and Yates without incident. Agents searched the residence and seized several items consistent with narcotics sales.
These items include packaging material, pay and owe notes, as well as several hundred illegally possessed prescription medications. In addition, agents located just over $8,000 in U.S. currency that is believed to be profits form narcotics sales. This currency was seized and will be held pending asset forfeiture proceedings.
Fuller and Yates were subsequently placed under arrest and transported to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility for possession of controlled substances for sales.
