Multiple agencies including the Oregon State Police, Rural Metro Fire and the Illinois Valley Fire District, were dispatched Tuesday morning, April 1st, to a traffic collision on Hwy. 199 near Hayes Hill just after 11:30am.

Upon arrival of first responding Rural Metro Fire crews, it was quickly determined that the occupants of one of the vehicles involved in the crash would require extrication with the “jaws of life” hydraulic rescue tool.

A portion of the guard rail was ultimately removed to gain access to one of the passengers before all of the injured individuals were transported for further medical assistance with undisclosed injuries.
The incident is being investigated by the Oregon State Police.
