Early Wednesday morning, just north of Ashland, firefighters responded to a semi-truck fire at exit 14 off of Interstate 5. Upon arrival, fire crews quickly attacked the flames before the fire could spread.
The truck, carrying fire retardant from southern California, had a trailer malfunction that started the blaze. The contents of the trailer were not damaged and no injuries were reported.
