High Pressure continues to dominate the northwest and after a brief respite of slightly cooler temperatures, the heat is expected to
pickup with high temps ranging between 90 and 100 degrees across
interior Oregon and northwest California.
A High Risk of heat impacts is expected Monday and Tuesday across the Rogue and Illinois Valleys in Oregon and the Shasta and lower Klamath Valleys in California. While heat like this happens many times a year, for those who are more sensitive to heat, precautions should be taken to stay cool and hydrated.
On the coast expect mostly sunny skies, a with a light northwest wind becoming north northwest 5 to 10 mph and high’s near 74. Overnight low’s will be in the lower 50’s with the marine layer helping to keep the coast cooler.
