Triple Digits Prompt Excessive Heat Warnings while Coast Stays Cool

Dangerously hot temperatures are expected across the area Tuesday through Saturday. Temperatures will soar into the triple digits away from the immediate coast beginning Tuesday and continuing through Saturday.

Inland west side valleys including the Rogue Valley, Illinois Valley, and Umpqua Valley including Medford, Ashland, Grants Pass, and Roseburg, high temperatures of 102 to 112 degrees expected with and overnight low temperatures in the upper 60s to mid 70s.  

Smoke from area wildfires may result in periods of reduced air quality over portions of southwest Oregon and northern California will continue this week. Again, the coast will remain cool with partly cloudy skies and high temperatures reaching the low 70s and early morning lows in the low 50s.
