At 12:10 am, Wednesday February 21st, Rural Metro Fire was dispatched to a train vs vehicle at the railroad crossing on Merlin Landfill Rd.
An unoccupied full-size motorhome was found significantly damaged and “strewn about”, appearing to have been left on the tracks intentionally.
The train operators were not injured, and the train was stopped until the tracks could be cleared of debris. OSP is investigating.
