Just before 3:30pm, on Wednesday, July 15th, an Oregon State Police Trooper from the Central Point Area Command stopped a 2005 Nissan Altima for failure to display a license plate while traveling on northbound I-5.
During the traffic stop, a consent search was conducted. The consent search of the vehicle revealed approximately 2.7 pounds of heroin concealed in the natural voids inside the trunk of the vehicle.
The driver, identified as 23 year old Eric Barrios from Long Beach, California, was charged with Unlawful Delivery of Heroin & Unlawful Possession of Heroin.
