Teacher Arrested on Multiple Charges of Sexual Abuse of a Former Student

A local teacher from Selma was arrested by Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies on multiple charges of sexual abuse after an investigation into sexual abuse of a former student.  

On Thursday, February 13th, a woman reported she was the victim of sexual abuse perpetrated by her teacher and coach, identified as 30 year old Jesse Rex Orndoff, of Selma, Ore , while she was a student and he was employed at the Rogue River Junior-Senior High School.  

The sexual abuse occurred over the span of several years, while the victim, who is no longer a student at the school, was between 15 to 17 years old.

Orndoff, who no longer works at the Rogue River Junior-Senior High School, was most recently employed with the Rogue Christian Academy in Grants Pass. Both schools are cooperating with the investigation.  

Jesse Rex Orndoff, has been lodged in the Jackson County Jail on multiple charges including 10 counts each of second-degree sex abuse, third-degree rape, and third-degree sodomy.
