The swarm of earthquakes some 250 miles off the coast of Coos Bay, Oregon, continued for the second consecutive day adding over 30 more quakes Wednesday, December 8th.
Again, starting very early Wednesday morning, quakes were recorded in the same general area starting with a 4.0 just after midnight and continuing almost hourly through out the day.
In all, approximately 32 quakes were located in the same 75 mile radius area approximately 250 miles northwest of Coos Bay.
Of the 32 quakes, fifteen of them were 4.0 to 4.5 in magnitude, eight of them were between 4.6 and 4.9 in magnitude, four were between 3.8 and 3.9 and five of them were above 5.0, with two of those being 5.3 in magnitude. Also, two more minor quakes were recorded south and southwest of Eureka, California, Wednesday.
Again, all of them were relatively shallow at just over 6 miles deep, with little displacement, generating no tsumani warnings, alerts or tsunami waves.
