Suspicious Activity Leads to a Short Vehicle Pursuit and Arrest

While on patrol Wednesday morning, April 2nd, a Coos County Sheriff’s Deputy observed a suspicious vehicle pull into a property and the subjects get out of the vehicle and begin walking around.

It did not appear the subjects belonged at the residence and the Deputy then contacted the subjects to determine if they were allowed to be at the location.

The male subject provided the deputy with a false name before getting into the vehicle as the deputy attempted to stop him from leaving, but the male fled in the vehicle.

After a short vehicle pursuit, the suspect fled into a heavily wooded area on foot before K9 Cena was released to pursue the suspect.    K9 Cena tracked the suspect 1.5 miles through the woods, marsh area and steep hills, collecting his 58th capture.

The suspect, who had outstanding warrants for his arrest, was located and taken into custody without incident, and now faces several new charges.
