The low pressure system circulating off the coast is expected to move to the south as it continues to circulate unstable air into the region bringing more rain across the area for much of the work week to start the new year.
Inland areas are forecast to see localized areas of dense fog New Years Day morning enjoying a mostly sunny afternoon before clouds begin to move into the region. Precipitation could begin early Tuesday morning, continuing through mid-week. Low temperatures are expected to be in the upper 30’s with highs in the upper 40’s to low 50’s.
Areas along the coast will enjoy mostly sunny skies Monday before a new weather system pushes onshore, that could produce rain overnight and continuing through the week. Temperatures are expected to remain relatively mild with lows in the low to mid 40’s, and afternoon highs in the mid 50’s.
