Sunny Skies into Weekend, But, Cool Air to Keep Temperatures Mild

Cool air from the Gulf of Alaska behind a weather system to the east is pushing down the northwest coast and is forecast to keep skies mostly clear with a northwest breeze bringing cold air with it, generating a frost advisory from the National Weather Service expected to affect some west side valleys including the Illinois and Applegate Valley’s Thursday morning.

Partly cloudy skies and Cool air are forecast to continue inland with the cooler temperatures from early in the work week slowly warming into the weekend after frost advisories from earlier in the week. Early morning lows could get as low as the low to mid 30’s getting up to the mid 40’s with afternoon highs warming to the upper 70’s by Sunday.

Localized early morning fog is expected to develop along the coast burning off to mostly sunny afternoon skies with a northwest breeze dissipating as the week progresses. Early morning lows are forecast to be in the mid 40’s with highs reaching the mid to upper 60’s into the weekend.
