Sunny Skies and Warm Temperatures in Forecast for Work Week

Above average temperatures are expected to continue over the next few days especially in the interior valleys of northern California and southern Oregon, however, record highs are not forecast in the region as the work week progresses.

Although no weather warnings or advisories have been issued, the hot and dry weather over portions of the Pacific Northwest, is expected to increase the fire threat across these region. Widespread haze is expected to continue in the inland valleys with temperatures heating up to the high 90’s, possibly reaching triple digits in some locations later in the work week.

Coastal areas are forecast to continue to have early morning marine layer clouds gradually giving way to afternoon sunshine as high pressure ensures mainly dry weather through the week. Areas of patchy fog is expected in some low lying areas as partly cloudy skies become mostly sunny after noon with high temperatures staying in the low to mid 70’s.
