After another weekend of cool temperatures, with rain and 3 funnel clouds reported in Oregon, summer officially starts today, Tuesday, June 21st, with temperatures jumping into the 90’s in some areas.
A high pressure system circulating off the northern California and southern Oregon coasts is pushing weather systems to the north, resulting in increasingly hot interior temperatures through mid-week.
Cool northerly winds will persist near the coast each afternoon. The high pressure system is forecast to keep coastal areas dry throughout the week with mostly clear skies and sunshine. Temperatures will continue to rise as the work week progresses, reaching the low 80’s in some coastal locations and the low 90’s inland.
