Strong Upper-Level Ridge to Finish the Work Week with Heat Advisories and Triple Digits Inland

A strong upper-level ridge now settled over the region and hot temperatures and clear skies are in the forecast prompting Heat Advisories to be issued by the National Weather Service across the region through Friday.

Inland areas are forecast to see triple digit heat into and through the weekend, with some slight cooling as the weekend progresses. Afternoon highs are expected to be in the lower 100’s into the weekend with morning lows only getting to the low 60’s.

Along the coast, hazy skies from surrounding wildfires under mostly clear skies are expected to start your day Thursday, clearing out as the work week comes to and end. High temperatures are expected be in the low 70’s with morning lows in the upper 50’s.
