Barron's Home Furnishings Owner, Terry Adams and Spencer Rosenberg.

The latest installment of the Barron’s Home Furnishings ‘Star Student Athlete’ has been selected as the school year begins to wind down as well as 2023/24 sports seasons.  Student athletes are selected by their coach’s for their outstanding efforts in the sports arena, as well as their exemplary scholastic and community participation.

This weeks selection is Spencer Rosenberg, a four year member of the Bruins varsity boys baseball team, chosen by head coach Keith Wallin for his growth, leadership and consistency throughout his career at the catcher position for the Bruins, and now a two time Honoree after being selected as a sophomore in 2022.

“Spencer works as hard as anyone we’ve ever had in the program.” coach Wallin told the Compass. “He calls all his own pitches” coach Walling continued, ” and his ability to back pick is the best in the league, most teams we have played have not even attempted to steal.”

On the field, Spencer has maintained a .474 batting average, with 27 hits, an on base percentage of .571, a slugging average of .579 and 30 runs batted in on the season.

Spencer has also excelled in the classroom with a 3.91 cumulative GPA while carrying a full load of college prep courses including Body Structure & Functions Science, Economics, Chemistry, and Language Arts IV. He has also committed to play College Baseball in Minnesota at The College of St. Scholastica.

“Spencer has lead our team and most importantly our pitching staff for the last 3 years  is a true example of leadership and what it takes to become a great person and student athlete, and the BHHS Bruins varsity boys baseball program will continue to grow and succeed simply for having him participate these past 4 years.” – Head Coach, Keith Wallin

Congratulations Spencer, we are confident that you will continue to be successful in any endeavor you should choose to pursue.

Special thanks to corporate sponsors Barron’s Home Furnishings and In Motion Graphics who make this recognition possible.
