Beach conditions will become hazardous Thursday due to an arriving ocean swell. The threat of sneaker waves will increase, and this will continue through Thursday and into Friday.
Waves that wash unexpectedly far up the beach are expected, often after extended periods of much smaller waves before them.
Breaking wave heights will quickly build to between 18 and 21 feet, which will also contribute to hazardous beach conditions today and tomorrow.
