Just before 7:30 pm, Illinois Valley Fire District responded to a single vehicle crash on Holland Loop outside Cave Junction.
When first responder units arrived at the scene they discovered a small older model Toyota pickup had left the road and struck a tree head-on.
One lane of Holland Loop was closed for approximately 2.5 Hrs. The driver, the only person in the vehicle, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by Oregon State Police.
