The ridge of high pressure that has been responsible for our clear and relatively mild temperatures is beginning to give way to an approaching low pressure system that will be moving across the region bringing a 20-30 percent chance of rain with rain more likely to the north.
As the low pressure system moves over the region, temperatures are forecast to get much cooler with some areas in southwestern Oregon and northern California. A freeze warning is in effect for some of the interior valleys where temperatures could fall into the very low 30’s.
