CalTrans has reported that Highway 96 is closed approximately 4 miles west of Happy Camp in Siskiyou County.
A slide has completely covered the westbound roadway with mud, debris, and rocks.
The road will be reopened once it is deemed safe for the traveling public and for highway workers.
