After the discovery of the unusual stainless steel triangular monolithic structure in a remote portion of the southern Utah desert by Utah Department of Public Safety Aero Bureau Resources on Wednesday, November 18th, while conducting a count of big horn sheep, it was reported by the Bureau of Land Management Utah late Sunday that “an unknown party or parties had removed the illegally installed structure referred to as the “monolith” sometime on the evening of Friday, November 27th,” and that the Bureau of Land Management did not remove the structure.
A strangely similar unusual stainless steel triangular monolithic structure has been reported by Neamt Culture and Heritage officials in the city of Piatra Neamt in Romania’s north-eastern Neamt County.
The object was first reported at the remote private property location on Thursday, November 26th.
The monolithic triangular structure appears to be very similar in material and construction and sits on private property facing Mount Ceahlau known as the Holy Mountain and is listed as as one of the seven natural wonders of Romania.
Much like the structure found in southern Utah by Utah Department of Public Safety Aero Bureau Resources, Romanian officials do not know who constructed the almost 13 foot tall object.
Neamt Culture and Heritage officials stated that they have started an investigation into the strange appearance of the monolith. ‘It is on private property, but we still don’t know who the monolith’s owner is yet. It is in a protected area on an archaeological site. Before installing something there, they needed permission from our institution, one that must then be approved by the Ministry of Culture.’
