Significant Wind Event Prompts Red Flag Warnings and Heat Continues

An unseasonably strong, dry offshore flow will affect Oregon, and N. California from the Cascades to the coast Monday through Tuesday night. Dry east winds and and very dry humidities are expected across the region with poor recoveries overnight, creating significant fire weather concerns until winds weaken and humidities begin to improve Wednesday.

Excessive heat continues for valleys west of the Cascades to within a mile of the coast. As the trough exits to the south, winds will shift to the east, and a significant offshore wind event is expected Monday night into Wednesday
morning.
