Temperatures Thursday through Friday will be about 20 degrees above normal for valleys west of the Cascades. Most people are not acclimated to these temperatures yet, so please practice good heat safety practices.

Gale force northerly gusts are forecast to develop over the northern outer waters late this afternoon. Gusts to 40 knots will be accompanied by steep seas building to 13 feet. Winds of 15 to 25 kt with occasional gusts to 35 kt are expected over the southern outer waters tonight and Wednesday with steep seas building to 12 feet. Over the northern inner waters, winds of 10 to 20 kt are expected, with gusts to 30 kt near Point Saint George. Steep seas will build to 9 feet Wednesday across that area.
