Significant Rain Expected for No. California and So. Oregon

The upper-level low coming into the area will bring strong gusty winds also lead to increased chances for rainfall in the Pacific Northwest and Northern California through Wednesday, with the heaviest rainfall amounts along the Northern California and Southern Oregon coast.

Here's a satellite view of the system responsible for the cooler and wetter weather we'll be having this week. The color enhancements help us determine which clouds are made of ice vs water. The oranges indicate higher level clouds while the white-ish colors indicate lower level clouds. The stationary greens you see over the mountains = snow cover.
