A series of fronts will bring significant rainfall to Northwest California this weekend. Rainfall totals from Friday morning to Monday afternoon are expected to range from 1 to 3 inches, with higher amounts in the mountains and the heaviest rainfall is expected on Saturday and Sunday.
The first area of low pressure is forecast to swing across the region beginning early Friday morning, followed by a strong cold front on Sunday. The biggest impact will be potentially heavy rain along coastal regions of northern California and Oregon. Total rainfall amounts of up to 4 inches are possible and could lead to isolated flooding.
