A search warrant was served by agents with the Humboldt County Drug Task Force Wednesday, July 24th, at a residence located in Eureka according to a press release from the Humboldt County Drug Task Force.
The Humboldt County Drug Task Force had received information during the month of July that 42 year old Dustin Cody Pool, a convicted felon for narcotics and firearm related offenses, was in possession of several firearms and was selling large quantities of narcotics.
Agents learned that Pool was not on scene upon arrival at Pool’s residence. Agents exercised the search warrant and searched Pool’s residence, locating three handguns, a non-serialized P80 pistol with a fully automatic switch, a non-serialized AR-15, two non-serialized AR-15 short barreled rifles, one sawed off shotgun, a .22 caliber rifle, a fully automatic AK-47, multiple high capacity magazines for pistol, AR-15 and AK-47 style firearms, thousands of rounds of miscellaneous ammunition, as well as approximately five grams of heroin, and approximately five grams of cocaine.
An arrest warrant for Pool will be submitted to the Humboldt County District Attorney’s Office for multiple charges including, Possession of a controlled substance while armed with a loaded firearm, Felon in possession of a firearm, Felon in possession of ammunition, Possession of sawed-off shotgun/short-barreled rifle, Possession of an assault weapon, Possession of an undetectable firearm, Possession of a machine gun and Unlawful conversion of a firearm to a machine gun.
