According to an update Sunday, February 19th, from Del Norte County Search and Rescue regarding the missing 74 year old Washington woman who has been missing in the Gasquet area since Saturday, February 4th, after becoming separated from her adult daughter and husband while mushroom hunting, search teams continued their search in very difficult terrain into Sunday.
Search and Rescue teams have been responding to an active search near Gasquet, California, and on Sunday, a large number of search teams, including various K-9 Teams, assisted in strategically surveying the French Hill area, a very difficult to navigate section due to the very slippery terrain and ledges, before locating the female subject and deactivating the search.
The press release also reiterated that Del Norte County Search and Rescue will not be able to provide any further details as this is a Law Enforcement event.
