The first in a series of weather systems poised off the coast passed through the area Thursday with rain and wind. An extended period of precipition is forecast to continue late Friday and Saturday with yet another forecast early Monday.
This series of systems are forecast to bring gusty winds up to 40 mph in some areas as a stronger front moves into the area Friday. More moderate rain and gusty winds are expected with snow at high elevations across all passes Friday before another front moves in Sunday through Presidents Day.
