An upper-level trough will bring cooler temperatures and chance for showers in areas of NW California and Southwestern Oregon.
A cold front will move toward the coast Friday. The front will bring some rain late Friday through Saturday along with much cooler air. High temperatures Saturday will likely be 15-20 degrees lower than on Friday. Showers will end Saturday night into Sunday.
Today is expected to be partly sunny, with a high near 61 with a 50 percent chance of rain after 11:00 am. Friday night should be mostly cloudy, with a low around 50 and a tenth to a quarter of an inch rain is likely.
Saturday is expected to be mostly cloudy with a high near 56 and a 60% of showers, mainly after 11:00 am. A 40 percent chance of showers will continue into Saturday evening, mainly before 11 pm.
Sunday should be partly sunny with a high near 56 and a 20 percent chance of showers.
Early next week the coast will continue to see mainly cool weather with some afternoon clearing.
A strong ridge of high pressure will bring warming temperatures through much of next week.
