A series of 4 small quakes shook the northern California and southern
Oregon coast Monday culminating in a 3.1 temblor that struck just 35
miles off the coast of Brookings Oregon at a depth of 31 miles, at
12:10am early Tuesday morning.
Earlier Monday evening a 4.4 magnitude quake struck 161 miles west of
Eureka and a 2.7 magnitude temblor hit approximately 50 miles south of
Eureka near Redway California at 5:10pm.
Later in the evening, a 2.6 magnitude quake hit off the coast southwest
of Eureka, California at 9:17pm, followed by the quake off of Harbor
early Tuesday morning.
