At 3:44 AM units from Illinois Valley Fire District were dispatched to a power line problem. Upon arrival to the scene of the problem, it was determined that a power pole transformer had exploded and was on fire.
The power provider attempted to extinguish the fire using a special fire extinguisher. This attempt was unsuccessful, the power provider lineman requested additional help and the fire was extinguished without further damage or injuries.
