Very early Monday morning, March 3rd, multiple calls were received by the Grants Pass Police Department received regarding a male being shot near SW 6th Street and SW M Street.
Grants Pass Police officers were immediately dispatched and responded, arriving to the scene within minutes of the first call with first arriving officers finding a male victim located a short distance away with a gunshot wound to an extremity.
Medical care was immediately provided to the victim, identified as 32 year old resident of Grants Pass, before being transported to Three Rivers Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
The person(s) responsible for the assault were not located on-scene, and there is no known threat to the public.
