Very early Tuesday morning, October 15th, at about 2:17am, civilian staff at the Medford Police Department saw two subjects spray painting the side of the building, which was also caught on surveillance cameras.
The suspects fled the scene before they could be caught in the act, however, they were apprehended about 20 minutes later, walking on Jackson Street.
Auston Lindsey, 24, was found to have five warrants for his arrest and was in possession of meth.
John Allen Riley, 26, was arrested for Probation Violation stemming from a Burglary charge, and was in possession of heroin.
The pair claim they were tagging random buildings and didn’t realize it was the police department.
Additionally, both were charged with Criminal Mischief, for the $500 damage to the Medford Police Department building.
