Late on Thursday afternoon, the Coos County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a reported assault. When deputies arrived at the scene the officers spoke to the reporting party who stated she had been in an argument with Katherine Loree Morris-Nesbit.
The disagreement referred to a pet sunfish named Lucifer, who according to the caller, had been harassing the other fish in their fish tank and that she had removed the Lucifer from the tank to protect the other fish in the fish tank.
Upon finding out that the reporting party had removed Lucifer from the tank, Katherine began angry, and started a verbal argument. After Katherine started the verbal altercation, the caller stomped on Lucifer, and Katherine physically assaulted the caller causing minor injuries. In an attempt to stop the physical altercation, the caller bit Katherine on the arm.
Katherine was placed under arrest and transported to the Coos County Jail, where she was booked on the charge of Domestic Assault in the 4th degree.
