Early Wednesday morning, March 19th, Illinois Valley Fire District, American Medical Response, and Oregon State Police responded to a single vehicle crash on Highway 199, near Selma, in Josephine County.
The preliminary investigation indicated that 36 year old Ethan Wayne Anderson of Cave Junction, struck a pedestrian who was in the roadway for unknown reasons.
The pedestrian, identified as 58 year old Buck Carlos Gene Arby Ward of Crescent City, Califonia, was declared deceased at the scene.
The operator of the Ford, Ethan Wayne Anderson, was reportedly not injured.
Weather conditions (fog) is being considered a contributing factor in the crash.
