As public demonstrations continue for now over 70 consecutive days in northern Oregon counties, Oregon added 2,218 new cases of Covid-19 in the last week with 423 new cases reported Friday, August 7th alone. As of Friday, August 7th, the 6 northern Oregon counties of Clackamas, Marion, Multnomah, Umatilla, Washington, and Malheur comprise 73% of all of the state of Oregon’s cases reporting 15,066 of the states 20,636 cases of COVID-19.
Oregon added 2,460 cases of COVID-19 in the last 7 days with Oregon adding 416 new cases on Friday, August 7th alone.
Curry County reported that it now has 5 active cases of COVID-19 while the county has reported testing 1,080 individuals, with 1,062 negative tests, 14 total positive cases of COVID-19 with 13 recovered cases since the beginning of the pandemic as of Friday, August 7th.
Del Norte County Department of Health and Human Services reported testing 4,889 individuals with 99 confirmed cases since the beginning of the pandemic. 3 new positive cases were reported to Public Health, bringing the total amount of active cases to eleven. All three of the new cases were household contacts of known positive cases and had been directed to test. 1 of the active cases is currently hospitalized and the rest are self-isolating at home.
Humboldt County to the south of Del Norte County reports testing 16,167 individuals with 282 total cases, 65 active cases, 213 recoveries and 4 deaths and 17 hospitalizations.
Coos County to the north, reported testing 4,137 individuals with 4,069 negative tests, 90 total positive cases of COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic, 68 positive cases with 21 recoveries and 0 deaths.
Josephine County reports testing 7,063 individuals with 6,969 negative results, 113 total positive cases of COVID-19 of which 63 are recovered cases, and 2 deaths.
Jackson County went into the week testing 19,941 individuals with 19,562 negative test results, totaling 447 total cases of COVID-19 and 165 recovered cases and 2 deaths as of Friday August 7th.
